Record Month at schoolofmiracles.com

Last month, December 2005, was the busiest month at our website on record. This was due entirely to our listing in the iTunes Music Store Podcast Directory. In all, we had more than 6 times the number of visitors to the site we normally get and more than 5 times the actual traffic (megabytes of data downloaded) than our previous record.

I've been working during the last few days to get all the messages from the second generation message system listed on the podcast. That work is done now so I have removed that system. Due to the complexities associated with some of our internal backup systems, I won't be doing the same thing with messages listed in our original system. They will stay there until they need to be removed to make room for new messages.

So to those of you who've made our podcast such a tremendous success, thank you. We are still only using 12% of the available capacity of our web service so we have lots of room to grow without any additional cost. Please pass the word. Let people know.

For those of you who haven't taken advantage of the podcast system yet, using it is remarkably simple. Subscribe. If you click that link to the left, your computer will be checked to see if you have iTunes installed. iTunes is a free music jukebox program made by Apple. It is also the only way to access the iTunes Music Store and to copy music to an iPod. If your computer has it, it will start and take you to our listing in the Podcast Directory. If you don't have it, your web browser will take you to the download page on Apple's website where you can download the latest version of iTunes for free.

Remember CD's of the messages in the podcast are available for order. Just send us an email with the names of the messages you're interested in.
