Teams return from Fiji Islands

During the first two weeks of September, Miracle Ministries sent two ministry teams to Fiji, one from Virginia and the other from Sydney. Lead by Pastor Vaughan, we met up in Nadi (pronounced Nandy) and spent ten days ministering, mostly on the island of Ovalau.

On the first night of the trip, a Thursday, at Nadi Assemblies of God, God's theme for the trip came across loud and clear. Fijians weren't the mission field any longer, they were to be the missionaries. Two people repented for rejecting a call of God. Numerous other's were healed, things ranging from headaches and knee injuries to a breast cancer lump disappearing and a leg that had been broken and set incorrectly being grown to the same length as the other one.

After Nadi, we headed to Pastor Eroni Lala's church, Living Water Family Church in Tavua. We ministered there on Friday night and both Sunday services. Some amazing things happened but here are some of the highlights.

On Friday night, the local football team came forward for ministry. They were responding to a word of knowledge about shoulder and knee problems. Some had had broken bones that hadn't healed properly. Others had soft tissue injuries in the joints. A man with an injured back and ankle also came forward. All were healed completely. They played Suva the following day, a team which was regarded as much better than them. When they came into Church on Sunday morning, they praised God because they'd won the game.

There was also a lady with cancer in her womb who felt the lump go down. The message of Thursday night was also present throughout our time in Tavua. People came forward to repent of not being obedient when God had called them.

On Sunday we had broken up into smaller teams. While one team ministered at Pst. Eroni's church, others went and ministered at other churches in the area. Some of the highlights of these meetings were a mine worker with a twisted leg, damaged disc in his back and a pinched leg muscle was completely healed. Many in these churches were Indian and had had curses put on them by Hindu family members. These were broken. Many people caught the vision of being Fijian and being a missionary at the same time as the recurring theme of the trip came out again.

After our time in Tavua we spent Monday travelling to Levuka. Levuka is the old capital city of Fiji and still has much of it's old colonial charm. It's on the island of Ovalau which is off the east coast of the main island, Viti Levu. From Tavua, on the west side of Viti Levu, it took us all day to get there.

In Levuka we had meetings on each of the following four nights, Tuesday to Friday. We did a shortened School of Miracles in these meetings and the people of the local AOG church saw that God healed when they prayed. Again the message of missionary not mission field came through.

Some of the highlights of these meetings were a man who had been saved at meetings in 1983 when Dad and Bishop Harry Westcott had visited Levuka was healed of chest pains. The director of deacons was healed of a pain in his stomach, a girl with a twisted leg that was 1" shorter was healed and a lady with a swollen knee which caused caused her pain when she stood was healed.

During the day on Wednesday and Thursday we went up into a small village in the center of the island called Lovoni. Many people were healed of things ranging from back problems to cancer on the collar bone. A number of arthritic knees were healed.

This is just a brief overview of the trip. A full newsletter will be released in the coming weeks but this is to encourage you that you prayer support yielded great results. God really showed up in a powerful way at each meeting and we appreciate you standing with us in prayer. I'll be posting a gallery of some of the photos taken during the trip during the next week or two.
